Effortless Oracle - Keeper of Mysteries
I inhabit that one region where the mind enthralls & lulls the image
My Thoughts
Dare I to introduce this account with the Homeric words Tell me, O muse, of that ingenious hero[ine] who travelled far and wide in the attempt to find the perfect opening? Perhaps.

Or not, depending on the aetherial winds that do blow in with the light of day. Cruel Apollo, how did you become the patron of the arts? Your bright rays shine harshly, brightly on all, driving the delicate and fleeting thoughts of night into the shadows. Better Artemis to be the gentle patroness of these letters.

Which is what this account shall be. Letters written and set adrift on the arcane electric seas of the computer realm. Dear...

But to whom shall they be written? Myself, lovers, potential lovers, or just to the muses? For those curious eyes that wander the electric seas and find themselves touching briefly upon these shores? For all of the above. Yes for all of those I would whisper to on the wind, in the sound of the sea, in the moonlight, from the sun dancing on wave top...
 Talk to me.
1st-Nov-2008 09:37 am - BPAL: Nanny Ashtoreth [Good Omens Collection]
Nanny Ashtoreth ~ Middle Eastern flowers, amber, honey, blood red-berries, whip leather, and polished paddle wood.

In the bottle~ Peaty, very earthy and woody, almost masculine; with trace floral notes.

Wet~ Much the same as in the bottle.

Dry~ A delightfully complex scent. After 20 minutes or so, the warm scents of the amber and honey begin to unfold. An hour into wear and the florals come to the fore. I never did get the berry, but the other complimentary scents more than make up for that lack.

Staying Power & Throw~ Excellent. A few drops on my wrist stayed strong for several hours, perfuming the air around my desk as well. Ten hours into wear, the scent was beginning to fade from my skin, but still strong on the shirt I was wearing. 24 hours later, scent gone from skin, but still on shirt.

Overall, I adore the blend. It is going onto the favourites list. The only 'concern' I have is that it might be a bit too strong for summer wear. On the other hand, it smells perfect for regular autumnal and winter wear.

Collection: As described on The Good Omens Collection:

This series is based on the characters, locations, and concepts squished within the pages of 'Good Omens', an apocalyptic comedy by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman! A million thanks to Messrs. Pratchett and Gaiman for giving us this project their blessing!

This is a charitable, not-for-profit venture: proceeds from every single bottle are split between the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, which works to preserve and protect the First Amendment rights of the comics community, and the Orangutan Foundation UK, which works to actively preserve orangutan habitats while supporting long-term research projects that benefit orangutans.
